Coated ascorbic acid is a specially processed form of vitamin C designed to overcome the inherent instability of regular ascorbic acid. High-purity L-ascorbic acid is coated with a food-grade protective layer through a precision coating process, forming uniform, free-flowing granules.
The protective coating isolates the active vitamin from environmental factors such as oxygen, moisture, heat and light, which would otherwise accelerate oxidative degradation. As a result, coated ascorbic acid retains higher potency during granulation, tableting, premixing and long-term storage, and enables a more controlled release of vitamin C in finished products.
